BeautyScope 211: Follow the leader

sons follow
their father through
the mists of life

  1. Speaking photo and haiku. Thanks for your visit/comment.
    This is a test.
Have a nice new week and not so much trouble without the medics (could many write to this, but not in English)

  2. Nice post. I stopped following my father when I was about 7-8. That's when I realized he was wrong about almost everything.

  3. Ah, but which way are they facing? Is the father actually guiding his sons through the mists of dawn? Although your poetry is certainly better than mine!

  4. Ah! I missed you! Lovely to hear your "voice" again :-)
I appreciate your thoughts and your English! xo Jazzy Jack

    way it should be!

mr artist and mr actor are to be envied for their parents!!

  6. Spooky picture! :)
Hmm, I think I see parenting a little differently though. I don't think of parents as leaders or teachers and children as followers or students. I think that definitely our kids need wise guidance in some ways - yet mostly we provide them with the safe environment to learn about life on their own. Love them and trust that they will find their own way... but that's just me of course. :)

  7. Oh, thanks Beate! That's so sweet. They definitely have a great role model in Bushy! xo Jazzy Jack

  8. Interesting thoughts as usual! I could just be talking about succession.
I think we provide a safe space for them to discover what wonderful unique gifts they can bring to the world, and guidance on how to share that with others. Provide a stable loving base and they will hopefully find the courage to open like flowers to bless others. To trust we have not added on too many burdens, but allowed them to fly. This is my worry and my prayer! Xo Jazzy Jack

  9. Very moody shot and yep a little bit scary. I could see it on the cover of a horror novel :0)

  10. Ahh, what a great photo! My favourite ever poem about parents and children is Philip Larkin's This Be The Verse. Says it all! xxx

  11. No! I don't see it that way at all!
But it was pretty atmospheric :-)
Hope the flooring continues!...xo Jazzy Jack

  12. Just looked it up. What?!
I hope it doesn't say it all...really I do! :-D xo Jazzy Jack
